Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory

If you are traveling to Busan in summer, you cannot miss the sea, right? The first day is a schedule to enjoy the sea scenery of Busan, centering on Haeundae, the core of any Busan trip. Let's go to Cheongsapo first. Located between Haeundae and Songjeong, Cheongsapo is a fishing village where you can see an attractive port and a pretty lighthouse. It was a small town that even the people of Busan did not know much about, but now it has become the hottest tourist destination in Busan as cafes with a good atmosphere opened one by one, and even a beach train opened. Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory, built 20m above the sea, is made of transparent glass so you can feel the thrill of walking over the sea. Standing at the end of the observatory, the beautiful natural scenery around Cheongsapo and the open sea spread out in front of you.

Haeundae Beach Train

The coastal trail along Cheongsapo was originally a train station on the Donghae Nambu Line. The train that used to run on the cliff by the sea has disappeared, but now the beach train carries tourists between Haeundae and Songjeong. The blue sea of the East Sea and the beautiful scenery along the coastline outside the window will not let you take your eyes from the window, even for a moment. Take the beach train from the station in front of Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory, move to Haeundae, the next destination, and enjoy the charm of Busan's sea. You can also take the Sky Capsule from nearby Cheongsapo Station to Haeundae. It is good to enjoy the romantic summer sea while moving slowly along the track installed at a height of 10 meters.

Haeundae Beach and Songnim Park

If you take the beach train and get off at Mipo Station, you can see Haeundae Beach. The colorful parasols filling the white sandy beach make you feel the summer atmosphere. Dongbaekseom Island and the skyscrapers of Haeundae Marine City behind the wide sandy beach are unique sights only found at Haeundae Beach. At the end of the beach, close to Dongbaekseom Island, there is Songnim Park to cool off from the scorching sun. Pine trees thick enough to cover the sky form a forest, providing ample shade and a cool breeze. Thanks to the hydrangeas planted throughout the pine forest, it creates a more splendid atmosphere in summer.

Busan Aquarium

At Busan Aquarium, ‘Sea Life,’ located along Haeundae Beach, you and your children can enjoy the summer while meeting the sea creatures. The aquarium, which consists of eight exhibition halls, is home to over 10,000 marine animals of 250 species, including cute otters, jackass penguins living on the African continent, and thick-lipped Napoleon fish. The large aquarium where sand tiger sharks live is also a must-see. There are also various performances, such as feeding sharks, penguins, and otters, and stories of sea wizards and mermaids in the water, so no one will be bored.

Taejongdae Park

On the second day, we leave Haeundae and tour Yeongdo and Songdo, the old downtowns of Busan. Unlike Haeundae, which is crowded with tourists, the Yeongdo and Songdo areas are visited by Busan citizens and people with considerable experience in traveling to Busan. The old atmosphere of Busan remains, and above all, you can make more special memories because you can feel the atmosphere of Busan, a port city.

The representative attraction of Yeongdo is, of course, Taejongdae Park. The park, located along Taejongsan Mountain, a cultural heritage protection zone, is where you can meet the magnificent coastal scenery created by waves and winds for a long time, along with the dense forest. The blue sea that can be glimpsed through the beautiful trees is refreshing and cool enough to forget the sweltering heat. The coastal scenery seen from Yeongdo Lighthouse, the symbol of Taejongdae Park, shows why the park has been loved for a long time. You can enjoy the park while strolling along the circular road that goes around the park, or you can take Danubi Train and see major spots comfortably.

Songdo Cloud Trail

If you leave Yeongdo and move a little further west, you will find Songdo. Songdo, where the Cooperative Fish Market is located, is the history of Korea's fishery industry and the center of Busan's fishery. It is where 80% of the mackerel distribution in Korea is traded, so you can directly see the lively auction scene if you go there at dawn. Songdo Beach, a famous attraction in Songdo, is the first public beach opened in Korea. The beautiful beach, with white sandy stretching, is in the limelight as a resting place for citizens all year round. Songdo Cloud Trail, which allows you to walk over the sea, is another way to enjoy Songdo. As you walk through the perforated floor and watch the waves roll in, you will be thrilled, and the heat will instantly disappear.

Busan Air Cruise and Sky Park

If you ride the marine cable car across the beach to Amnam Park, you can see Songdo Beach, Yeongdo, and Jagalchi at a glance. When you ride in the crystal cabin with a transparent floor, you feel like you are flying in the sky above the sea. Thanks to the large foreign ships floating off the coast of Songdo, you can even feel like you are in a foreign port.

You will arrive at Sky Park in Songdo if you get off the cable car at the lower stop. When you go up to the 'Sky Harbor Observatory' on the roof of the building, you can see the cool sea of Songdo beneath your feet. There are also various sculptures, including the Little Prince, for taking pictures. If you leave the bus stop, you will find Amnam Park. For a while, it was restricted as a military reserve, but it is a national geopark where sedimentary rocks formed 100 million years ago, and dinosaur footprints remain. It has been untouched by humans for a while, so it is well preserved in its pristine natural state.

Eulsukdo Island and Nakdonggang Estuary Eco Center

On the last day, go to the west of Busan. The Nakdonggang Estuary, where the sea and river meet, is a paradise for migratory birds and a treasure trove of natural ecology where various creatures live. As the only area in Busan that has not been touched by development, you can meet the nature of Busan. Eulsukdo Island, a small island at the mouth of the Nakdonggang River, is the center of ecotourism. Eulsukdo Migratory Bird Park, where a variety of vegetation presents different scenery for each season, is equipped with sports facilities, camping grounds, and eco trails. In particular, the eco trails at the southern tip of Eulsukdo Island are a nature learning ground where you can vividly observe migratory birds. At the Nakdong Estuary Eco Center, you can get information about the migratory birds that visit the Nakdonggang Estuary and directly observe them through a telescope. Due to remodeling, the exhibition hall will be closed until the end of this year, but various ecotourism programs will continue to operate.

Dadaepo Gouni Eco Trail and Sunset Fountain of Dreams

Dadaepo, about 10 minutes away by car from Eulsukdo Island, is the only beach in Busan located in the South Sea. Due to the warm water temperature and shallow depth, many people enjoy playing in the water in the summer, and recently it has become popular with surfers as well. The vast sandy beach is also popular enough to be nicknamed the "Dadae Desert." The sun setting behind the sea is so beautiful that it is famous as a representative sunset spot in Busan. There is also a huge reed forest behind the sandy beach, so you can see beautiful scenery in autumn. 'Gouni Eco Trail,' which passes between the reed fields, is a walking trail that allows you to see the Dadaepo reed fields up close. If you go up to the observatory in the middle of the course, you can see the entire Dadaepo area. When the sun goes down, and the lights turn on, it becomes even more romantic, so you will automatically take out your camera. Also, you should not miss the Sunset Fountain of Dreams. It is the world's largest ground fountain, with water gushing up to a height of 55 meters. Streams of water dance to the music, making you feel refreshed.

Amisan Observatory

Amisan Observatory, located on a hill overlooking Dadaepo Beach, is considered one of the best sunset spots in Busan. The sandbars created by the meeting of the sea and the river light the red sunset every evening to create an enchanting landscape. There are observation decks on the roof and inside the building, so you can enjoy a variety of scenery. In the exhibition hall inside the building, you can see various materials on the topography and geology of the Nakdonggang Estuary.
