As your first destination on the Sampogil Road, Mipo Port is located at the end of Haeundae Beach. This small port is nestled among tall buildings and looks like the tail of Wausan Hill in Haeundae. You will see crowded sushi restaurants along the road and anglers between seawalls gazing over the sea, waiting for big fish. In Mipo Port, there is a quay for pleasure boats that are bound for Oryukdo Islets.

The no. 1 famous attraction in Mipo Port is Mipo Railroad, which extends to the next port, Cheongsapo. This railroad was designed to function as one of the tracks for the Donghae Nambu Line. However, it was remodeled to be a walking trail after being decommissioned in 2013 and now is widely known by many tourists.
The scenery with the railroad surrounded by the vast ocean attracts both tourists and locals in Busan. As you walk along the tracks, you will have a deep appreciation for what has been lost. For such memories to last, walk further on the trail where you will find a small tunnel for a photozone, which is most loved in Mipo Railroad.

You can either choose to follow the railroad reaching Cheongsapo Port or start from Mipo Port and pass through Moontan Road to the port. Moontan Road, a forest path on the hill between Dalmajigil Road and the beach, is especially beautiful at night, with the glistening light well matched to its name, meaning a road to meet the moon. Once you reach the observatory, you can finally see the unblocked view of the vast ocean that occasionally shows itself between the spreading pine trees on the way.

At the end of Mipo Railroad and Moontan Road, you will make it to Cheongsapo Port, which is known for the clear and clean seawater and visited by enthusiastic anglers for its abundant fish stocks. The small port where red and white lighthouses stand like twins in a peaceful atmosphere with the horizon from a distance, the sound of crashing waves, and the salty scent of the oceans carried by the wind. As such, Cheongsapo Port is the perfect place to feel the ocean with your five senses.
Recently, in this small port, Daritdol Observatory has finished its construction to give a thrilling experience on a skywalk as if you’re walking on the ocean.

Compared to the prior two ports, Gudeokpo Port gives off a calm and relaxing atmosphere, which makes itself as the best place to enjoy a luxurious time near the ocean. The coastal waters of Gudeokpo that you will see at the end of the railroad will whisk your worries away like the waves crashing against the rocks.
Sampo Coastal Trail means a walking trail that connects the three (sam) and ports (po), which are Mipo Port, Cheongsapo Port, and Gudeokpo Port. Have a relaxing time away from your busy life by taking a stroll on the trail and basking in the clear view of the ocean.
