Under the concept of a port festival, the Busan Port Festival is held in Busan during May for people to learn about the ocean and port and try out various experience-based programs. During the opening ceremony, a firework festival creates a magnificent view for over 20 min. Visitors can also ride the naval ship or cruise to enjoy a tour of Busanhang Port. Diverse programs that are highly popular with visitors include the large ship opening event, walk with family, stamp tour, and various maritime leisure programs.
In particular, this year’s festival will further enhance Busan’s image as a global marine leisure tourism city by hosting a citizen-participatory marine leisure tourism festival in conjunction with a comprehensive K-POP event showcasing Korean Wave culture.
