Day 1; Time to discover yourself

  • Eternal Journey
  • Osiria Coastal Walk
  • off.o

There's something powerful about old things –
like the shelves of unfinished books.
When I bought that book and read a bit of it,
I found myself wanting to be the kind of person who wears shabby clothes forever.

By Kim Eun-Ji, from <20 Minutes To Remove Fluff From Your Furry Hat>

On the first day of your trip, if you plan to document yourself throughout the journey, take some time to get to know ‘you’ first.

Familiar tastes often sharper when experienced in an unfamiliar way. Bookshops, trails, and cafes may not be new to you, but you find yourself uncovering forgotten corners of your mind simply because the place you’re in is different from your usual surroundings.

Sitting in a cafe with endless views of beautiful scenery, surrounded by bookshelves filled with books, out in the countryside with a cool breeze and the sound of waves - why not take a moment to smooth out the fluff of your newly found thoughts amidst all that timeless scenery?

Eternal journey

Eternal Journey, located inside the Hilton Hotel in Gijang-gun, Busan, is part of the Ananti Cove Town that hosts cafés and restaurants. The moment you walk in, you will see the unique perspective of Eternal Journey regarding the value of books. Inside the space of 1653 m2, over 20,000 books are on display. The arrangement of the stacks is unusual as well because, unlike general bookstores, there are no bestsellers or new release sections.

Designed with 55 themes, the store allows people to find the book that they want easily. Next to travel books are the swimsuits, and next to the music books is a piano. Books for children are displayed alongside a low desk and dolls. Book lovers will truly enjoy the excitement offered by the space itself.

Trip into the book
Eternal Journey provides leisurely rest and satisfies your intellectual thirst away from busy daily life. Here, you can enjoy a “book-cation” throughout all four seasons. Enjoy the bookstore with various themes to discover your unexpected taste in books.

  • Avivere Company
  • ADoR
  • Gwangalli Golbang

At the end of a long day, you need time to be still.
Reach out your stiff hands to embrace the gentle warmth of silence,
just as you might unconsciously do in front of a fireplace.

Han Gang, from

On the last day of your trip, it's time to set aside the novelty of the experience and reflect on your journey.

Focus on the warmth of your travel in quiet exhibitions, rooms where you can preserve your travel memories through objects and scents, and serene music bars that play your favorite tunes.
Just like the phrase in Han Kang's The White Book, these calm and quiet spaces will help you return to everyday life with a little warmth.
