Inside, where popular songs from the 80s and 90s play nonstop, you'll find abacuses, old cassette players, tin lunch boxes and all sorts of other items. If you're middle-aged, these are the things you used as a child, and if you're young, these are the things your parents' generation used.

It's not just a pile of old stuff, but it's organized and categorized in a way that makes it easy for people to see and experience. A kitchen with old sweets, condiments, drinks and more. A music room with records, tapes, and old posters. A study room with textbooks, book bags, Boy Scout uniforms, and more. A liquor collection with vintage, exotic and unique liquors. It's a collection so alive that you can feel the nostalgia just by walking through each room.

Everything is there to touch and buy. You can even put on your old school uniform, try out the items and have your photo taken as if you were back in the day.

Docomoto

Not everyone is a fan of new clothes, and there are plenty of 'oldies' out there who would turn down a brand new outfit.
Well, if you're one of them, get ready because quality vintage shop Docomoto is about to knock your socks off.

Docomoto is a premium vintage clothing store located in Jung-gu, Busan. It deals mainly in quality used clothing from overseas, with a "true vintage vibe" and no damaged parts. If there are signs of wear, such as stains, on the items, they inform customers in advance so that they can take this into account when making their choices.

The interior is also full of vintage touches, with retro objects around every corner, and the way the clothes are displayed really enhances their appeal. The owner's philosophy is to make vintage clothing more accessible to a wide range of customers by allowing them to take their time and browse the store at their leisure.

Busan Modern & Contemporary History Museum

The Busan Modern & Contemporary History Museum brings Busan’s modern and contemporary history to life. Following the opening of the museum's annex last year, the main building has opened this year. It was renovated from the former headquarters of the Bank of Korea Busan, highlighting the historical significance of the site.

There are many things to do. There is an archive room of the Bank of Korea, a vault museum on the underground floor that was once used as a vault, special and permanent exhibitions that showcase Busan's modern and contemporary history, a cafe called CASA BUSANO where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a dessert, and a cute souvenir shop that will make you open your wallet. There is also a children's adventure room for those traveling with children, as well as civic amenities such as luggage storage for tourists. It's a great place to start your day trip to Jung-gu.

Scuola di Atene

After all that traveling, are you looking for somewhere to sit down and relax? We recommend Scuola di Atene, a quaint café that serves delicious drinks and desserts and is a sight to behold.

Scuola di Atene, a large four-story cafe located near Bosu-dong Book Street, stands out for its exterior, which resembles a large stack of books. Its signature menu is Mildawon Coffee and Mildawon Cream Coffee, named after the Mildawon Coffee House where Busan's literati got tother when the city served as the wartime capital, in keeping with the historical value of the Bosu-dong Book Street. The third and fourth floors of the café are lined with large bookshelves for you to use at your leisure.
The main feature of the place is Raphael's painting of the Scuola di Atene, which covers the entire ceiling. Looking up at the ceiling from the downstairs staircase, you can't help but be overwhelmed by the magnificent sight. Framed portraits of Raphael, statues of Apollon and other unique sculptures add to the mystical atmosphere of the cafe. There's a photo spot sign inside the café, so follow the instructions to get some great shots.
Take a special break at this special café that recalls the ancient, medieval and modern literary history of Europe and Busan.

Bosu-dong Book Street

Even with the most time-efficient travel experience, you can still get tired trying to fast-forward your way through the sights. Bosu-dong Book Street is a great place to stop and take a breather.
You can find childhood memories in faded books you pick up by chance. The signs and stacked books show Busan's past years and give off an analog vibe. Each shop has so many books that they pile up from the floor and take up both sides of the narrow alley.
The steep staircase in the middle of the alley is a fun place to take a photo, with a book on each step, in a casual pose as if you don't care about the shot.
The desire for knowledge that blossomed amidst the hardships of life formed the bookstore street and made the people of Busan begin to learn despite the lack of resources. The culture of the Bosu-dong Book Street, created by the unique environment, coexists with books and is still alive today. Bupyeong Kkangtong Market

If you're feeling hungry at the end of your trip and want to wander around and enjoy some night market food, head to Bupyeong Kkangtong Market.
Every night at 7:30pm, Bupyeong Kkangtong Market comes alive. Stalls on wheels roll into the market alley and the market is instantly transformed into a food market. From grilled pork belly to okonomiyaki, kebab, bánh xeo and other international favorites, the alleys attract many hungry souls.
Bupyeong Kkangtong Market is the first permanent night market in Korea that opened in 2013. It is open non-stop from 7:30 pm to midnight, except on holidays. With the theme of "traveling the world in one night", the market offers a variety of food, activities and attractions, and has become a major tourist destination in Busan.
