The Busan Green Railway is a long trail that connects Haeundae Olympic Junction to East Busan Tourism Complex through Mipo Port, Cheongsapo Port, and Songjeong Beach. The abandoned railway of the Donghae Nambu Line was newly renovated and reborn into this walking trail. In particular, in the section that runs through Mipo Port, Cheongsapo Port, and Songjeong Beach, Haeundae Beach Train travels with the breathtaking ocean in view.
Both sides of the Busan Green Railway is lined with greenery, and with every step you take, you will discover the different charms of every tree. Breathe in the pure air, and take a walk along this trail in the shape of a railway. In every corner, you will find traces of the old railway that used to take the train to different destinations.

The Busan Green Railway has several sections, and each section has a name. The section from Haeundae Olympic Junction to the former Haeundae Station is called “Fun Forest Trail with White Flowers in Bloom.” Here, you can stop and gaze at the beautiful wildflowers transforming every season. Just looking at the unique and unknown tiny flowers scattered all over is sure to warm your heart. Some parts of the trail still offer a glimpse of its old life as railway. Explore this pebbled path, and let your footsteps sound throughout the trail.
Don’t miss the train and sculptures showcased throughout this section of the trail. The blue-tiled wall, which creates an illusion of a train going toward you, serves as the perfect photo spot.

The first section of the Busan Green Railway can be best characterized as “a walking trail crossing a city full of high-rise buildings.” A walk along this trail will make you feel that you are both out in nature and in the city center. Feel free to sit on a bench by the forest trail that blends seamlessly into the city, and drink in the autumn scenery where leaves slowly turn into different colors. At this destination, peace of mind is not a faraway place.
Here is another good thing about the Busan Green Railway! You are not allowed to access the trail by bicycle or motorcycle. This is a trail only for walk. Go on a walk along the Busan Green Railway, which is quiet, peaceful, convenient, and safe all at once!
