The Busan Sea, encountered between sandy beaches and coastal roads, offers a special view of the ocean. Walk along the three major skywalks of Busan to enjoy the sky and ocean from high above.
Oryukdo Skywalk
Opened in 2013, Oryukdo Skywalk is located at the end of a 35 m-long coastal cliff. The clear glass floor looking down on the sea is made of bulletproof glass that can withstand heavy loads. The emerald waters off the coast of Oryukdo Islets, where the East Sea meets the South Sea, are spectacular. The waves breaking under the transparent glass floor against the coastal cliffs present a dizzyingly beautiful spectacle, while the sea unfolds before one’s eyes and dazzles with its color.
Songdo Cloud Walk
Located in Songdo Beach, Korea’s first public beach, the Songdo Cloud Walk is the largest skywalk facility in Busan. The view of the sea from the Cloud Walk is nothing short of breathtaking. Massive ships line the horizon, while the sky is adorned with colorful cable cars. The long, straight and curving walkways face the ocean on either side and below. It truly feels as if walking on the sea.
Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory
Cheongsa Port’s Daritdol Observatory was built with a unique curve modeled after the blue dragon, the symbol of Cheongsa Port. The name “Daritdol” is derived from the five reefs arranged along a line from the Cheongsa Port to the lighthouse, which resemble stepping stones in their form.
The transparent floor gives one the thrill of walking on the sea. Visitors are, however, required to wear overshoes at the entrance to the information center to prevent scratches on the glass surface. A telescope at the end of the observatory offers a better view.

2The reborn of Songdo Beach after 100 years
The elderly’s beach destination back in the day is transformed into a hot spot for the youth!
Let’s check out Songdo Beach, the trending hot spot on social media.
Opened in 1913, Songdo Beach is the first beach in Korea. After its golden period in the 1960s and 1970s, the beach became deserted. Those who wished to bring it back to its former beauty joined forces to repair the abandoned beach, making it even more breathtaking than it was in its heyday. With its spotless sandy beach, clear water, cloud trails, and an overwater cable car, Songdo Beach is once again a popular tourist destination receiving over five million visitors per year.
