Upon hearing the word “Busan,” the ocean often comes to mind. Here are a few excursion boat options for visitors to enjoy the great ocean to the fullest. The view from the boat will leave you with unforgettable memories.
Jagalchi Cruise
Jagalchi Cruise, the first option, only takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to explore Busan, making it an exciting experience. Once the ship starts to move, you will be amazed at how the ship keeps steady despite its high speed.
First, you are treated to a wonderful view of the port of Busan. Once you move past Namhangdaegyo Bridge, you will see a few famous tourist destinations. In particular, Huinnyeoul Culture Village and Bongnaesan Mountain stand on the left side, while Busan Air Cruise, Songdo’s new tourist destination, and the Songdo Cloud Trails can be seen on the right.

At this point, the seagulls begin to gather, forming a magnificent sight of seagulls flying around the ship. As you admire the flight of the birds, you will reach Taejongdae Park.
Gazing at Taejongdae Park from the ocean is a one-of-a-kind experience. You will be taken aback by the captivating view of the coastal cliff, which you would not see from the park’s observatory and lighthouse. Beyond Taejongdae Park, the Oryukdo Islets are also in full view. Jagalchi Cruise sails toward the parasol at the end of Taejongdae Park and turns around to return to its departure point. The ship has 3 floors, so make sure to enjoy the ocean from multiple locations. Remember that the operating hours in the evening differ from that in the summer and winter seasons. An ID check is also always mandatory.

Diamond Bay
The next cruise option is the Diamond Bay, the largest mega yacht in Asia.
The ship travels through 2 courses, the Oryukdo course and Haeundae course. Today, we will take the Haeundae course. Immediately after departure, the Gwangandaegyo Bridge, the symbol of Gwangalli, comes into view. The cruise gives you the rare opportunity to get a closer look at the bridge from right beside it, making you notice its grandeur. Then, we head over to Haeundae Beach.

On the way to the beach, you will see the Nurimaru APEC House, where the APEC meeting was hosted, and Haeundae lies beyond the house. Seen from the yacht, Haeundae presents you with a different kind of beauty. The yacht glides past Haeundae and Marine City, making you treasure this trip amid your normal daily life. As the sun sets, Haeundae is illuminated with a different light from various locations. Make special memories aboard the Diamond Bay.

KangkangeeArtsVillageFerryTour
The last option is the Kangkangee Arts Village Ferry Tour. The word “Kangkangee” refers to a village located across the Jagalchi Market. Historically, the village was known to have manufactured various ships. As hammers removed the paint or shells that rusted over on the surface at the shipyard, they produced a sound that sounded like “kangkang.” As such, the village earned the nickname “Kangkangee Village,” and the name stuck.

Although it only takes around 20 minutes to complete the Kangkangee Arts Village Ferry Tour, the ship takes you to many places. The first destination is Jagalchi Market, which is shaped like a seagull. It might be fun to see for yourself whether it does resemble the bird. Right beside it is Yeongdodaegyo Bridge. This bridge was built during the Japanese occupation and bears significance as the only drawbridge in Korea. Watching the bridge lift up from the deck is a magnificent and memorable moment for most visitors.
