What image first comes to mind when talking about Haeundae? Obviously, you will imagine the vast white sandy beach, the cool sea, buildings rising behind the beach, splendid night views, and gorgeous people. However, Dalmaji Pass at the edge of Haeundae provides a distinctive space where you can enjoy a leisurely walk while appreciating artworks, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of life. The Dalmaji Galley Zone has around 20 galleries, lining a romantic alley. But what do you think of a gallery? For some reason, it feels intimidating, and even if you get up the nerve to enter, you’d feel out of place and immediately exit. For those who feel uncomfortable and anxious in exploring galleries, the Dalmaji Hill Gallery Tour is available from April to October (except in August). Anyone can participate in the tour by contacting the Haeundae-gu Office via phone or online. This is a 3 hr tour program that will give you an opportunity to appreciate the artworks in Dalmaji Road’s galleries with a professor who will guide and explain the works for you. It’s a journey to help you enjoy artworks by familiarizing those that seem utterly distant.

Most of all, their highest quality water is rich in beneficial minerals for health. When immersed in a hot bath, you’ll feel your strained muscles and mind being slowly relieved. Visiting hot springs is another way to enjoy Busan. Haeundae Hot Springs was called Gunam Hot Springs during the Silla period. It has many stories dating back to ancient times, and among them is an interesting story about Queen Jinseong, who was completely recovered from smallpox after bathing in the hot springs.
