Gamcheonhang East Embankment

This is an attractive and spacious fishing spot at the entrance of the embankment that you can access on foot. As the embankment is long, it is also a good family fishing spot where you can put down a mat by the safe foothold. While you’re at it, enjoy the open view of the ocean with ships floating like dots on canvas and Dudo Island where fossils from the Cretaceous period have been discovered.

The Gamcheonhang East Embankment has moderate water levels and smooth currents for catching diverse types of fish. That’s why master rodmen gather by the outer harbor. It’s a popular fishing site for catching horse mackerel, rockfish, and blackhead seabream. If you’re accompanied by a beginning fisher, try the inner harbor. While less diverse in the fish that are caught compared to the outer harbor, it will be more than enough to gain hands-on experience.

Amnam Park Embankment

Amnam Park is a daily fishing spot packed with people even on weekdays. The Songdo overwater cable car, Busan Air Cruise, operates above your head, and a beautiful trail is formed along the coastal cliff of Amnam Park, making the place great for fishing as well as light trekking activity. Thanks to the opening of the Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge, which connects Amnam Park to Dongseom Island, you can now enjoy the exhilaration of walking on a shaking bridge. So cool!

Yeongdo New Embankment

The Yeongdo New Embankment is popular with professional fishermen but less known to the people of Busan. Master fishermen call the place “Sinbang,” short for new embankment (sin bangpajae in Korean). It is safe as a long plaza is formed along with it. Step up a few stairs up the stone wall to enjoy the view of the cool ocean.

Excluding the beltfish season, the place is quiet, perfect for those who prefer quiet healing. It’s also a bonus that you can sit and fish at the same time. If you’re lucky, you will get to hook up a horse mackerel or whitespotted conger.
Yeongdo New Embankment is where you will experience the essence of healing while fishing.
