Busan is a highly populated town with many universities and college towns. Among the many college towns, the area in front of Pusan National University is the most famous.

The bustling district in front of Pusan Nat'l Univ. Station, which occupies the slight uphill from Busan Metro’s Pusan National University Station up to the university, is a popular playground for the youth. It is a big district that can easily be explored by walking and is filled with fun cafés, clothing shops, prop shops, restaurants, and other stores, including the snack shop located in front of the metro station. Visit and stroll along the Oncheoncheon Stream that flows along the Busan Metro, and get a chance to witness energetic busking performances and other events on a breezy evening.

Take exit 3 of Pusan Nat'l Univ. Station to see a fun scene before you walk to the slightly uphill alley surrounded by several clothing shops. If you want to go shopping, explore the alley that has large and small affordable clothing shops spread out like a spider web. Cute accessory shops and minimalist restaurants with only a few small tables are also becoming the trend these days.

Walk up the alley and stand before the four-way intersection in front of Pusan National University to see its front gate from a distance. Interestingly, the right side has several pubs, while the left side has many cafés. During the daytime, go left, and during the nighttime, head right.

The pub alley, which seems to have everything you need, is packed with young people laughing and enjoying each other’s company. The smell of meat, chicken, and snacks and the sound of clinking glasses and bustling customers make passersby feel young.

On the alley located on the left side facing the front gate of Pusan National University, there are two famous toast shops. Buy toast and walk around the alley, where you will see copy shops lined up and more cafés as you walk further. Less complicated than the other alleys, this section is home to many unique and pleasant cafés of various sizes. Inside these cafés, young people, who prefer a quiet atmosphere over a boisterous one, take out their books or laptops and enjoy their alone time.

From the front gate, head toward the right alley on the right side, and you will notice a large shopping mall. As a clothing and shopping district, this area also has an art center and a small theater. Walk along the alley to see restaurants, beautiful cafés, an independent bookstore, and book cafés that blend well with the housing district.
