The days are getting longer, so it's a perfect time to enjoy a late evening drive. Moreover, the new drive-in theater in Yeongdo is worth the drive alone. You can see a movie at CGV DRIVE-IN Yeongdo, where the red sunset and the refreshing sound of the waves create a unique film-watching experience.

CGV DRIVE IN Yeongdo

CGV DRIVE-IN Yeongdo officially started its operation at Taejongdae Park on May 3. When you enter the park, you can see CGV-DRIVE IN Yeongdo, located in area 7-2 of the annexed parking lot above the rotary and large enough to accommodate 140 vehicles per theater. There is a sign on the way up, so it's not difficult to find, and you can check the information on how to use it and which movies are currently being screened.

The movie screening is held once every Monday to Thursday at 8:00 pm and twice on Fridays to Sundays at 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm, opening all year round. In addition, reservations can be made on the CGV website and app and on-site. You can enter the theater from 6:00 pm, and when it comes to vehicle locations, the location is not designated, but it is on a first-come, first-served basis. The passenger car section and the multipurpose vehicle section are separated, so you can park according to the staff's guidance.

For some vehicles, if the radio does not work or the DRL cannot be turned off, a radio and a screen can be rented on-site, so you can use them.

Unlike general theaters, CGV DRIVE-IN Yeongdo has no store inside, so you cannot purchase popcorn or drinks. However, you can buy popcorn or beverages from outside before entering the theater. Or, if not, you can have the food you want delivered to the pick-up zone, where you can see Busan's mascot Boogi, and enjoy the food with a movie.

Early visitors can take pictures at Danubi Train, originally operated outdoors but transformed into a photo zone. The LED lights come on around the time the sun goes down, and you can take pictures with the sunset. You can perfectly see the beautiful sunset, so one of the ways to enjoy CGV DRIVE IN Yeongdo is to come a little earlier and enjoy this time.

If you set the radio frequency as instructed before the movie starts, the sound of the movie is transmitted through the speaker inside the vehicle, and the movie is played on a large screen installed outside, transforming each car into a small movie theater.

Taejongdae Park

Located at the southernmost tip of Busan, the Taejongdae Recreation Area is a fun place to look around if you have enough time before going to the theater. You can take a pleasant walk while looking at the forest and the wide expanse of the beach. If you don't have enough time to look around, at least visit the two photo zones nearby for the picture of the day.

If you go up from the park entrance and down towards Taewon Pebble Beach, the first photo zone is where you can take beautiful pictures with the blue sky and the sea at the end of the stairs. The second photo zone is also not far from here. If you walk a little along the forest path right next to the stairs, you can see the monument for those who pioneered distant ocean fisheries in the second photo zone, which is similar to the staircase photo zone, but you can take pictures with a slightly more open background. These two photo zones can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot, so it would be nice to take a picture of the day along with a light walk.

Huinnyeoul Culture Village & Jeoryeong Coastal Trail

Huinnyeoul Culture Village, the first tourist attraction that comes to mind when thinking of Yeongdo, and Jeoryeong Coastal Trail, built along the beach below, are the places where you can see the beautiful sea of Yeongdo up close. Huinnyeoul Culture Village became increasingly famous as it appeared as a background for movies and dramas. As cafes and select shops opened here and there, it became a tourist destination today and is now recognized as one of Busan's representative tourist attractions.

In addition, Jeoryeong Coastal Trail is a place where you can take a walk with the sea of Yeongdo close by and enjoy the refreshing sound of the sea and the cool breeze.

Both places have a photo zone at the far end to take beautiful photos. Considering where you park or where you take public transportation, if you can stop by Huinnyeoul Culture Village and go down to Jeoryeong Coastal Trail or vice versa, you can see both places on one trip.

Kangkangee Arts Village

Kangkangee Arts Village, located at the entrance of Yeongdo, is a place where shipyards are concentrated, so it was named after the sound that resonates during a repair. It is a newly decorated village with traces of past shipyards and related artworks installed here and there. When you walk around the village, you can feel that it is a village that exudes a unique vibe with the atmosphere of the past.
