Located in the small coastal village of Gijang, Busan, Sinpyeong Small Park showcases a large ship-like structure that is set by the dock to provide healing to visitors.
This park is part of a beautiful travel route that entails driving by the east coast and enjoying the scenic view, as well as the Galmaetgil Trails Walking Course, a leading scenic trail in Busan that is well known among walking travelers or biking tourists.

The intimate park has a cozy feel, featuring well-kept walking trails and thick layers of black pine. Moreover, the pavilion located under the shades of black pine is a great spot to spend some alone time, take in the vast ocean, and listen to music created by waves.

While I sat by the pavilion, I noticed much more than the ocean. The flowers reminded me of the season, and seaweed spread on the ground by elders brought the ocean’s scent. Even the yellow fish drawn on the blue walls grabbed my attention, and I experienced a peaceful daily life at Sinpyeong Small Park.

Stand by the ship’s bow to feel as if you’re heading out to the ocean as the vast waters sway before your eyes. Sinpyeong Small Park’s bow is a famous spot where lovers reenact the iconic scene on the ship from the movie Titanic. Today, a lady cools off and dries her sweat from biking.

Stroll down the trail that leads to the coast to see the ocean from up close. Small, round pebbles and various rocks along the shore provide a cooling sensation, and walking on them becomes a fond memory. Moreover, dip your feet in the water to appreciate the ocean while listening to the sounds of waves.

There are many cute cafés in front of the park where you can enjoy a cup of coffee after walking.
