- Getting to Cheonmasan Observatory

For this visit, we chose to park at the Gamcheon Culture Village public parking lot and walk up to the observatory.
The walk from the parking lot takes about 40 minutes.
Although the trail is uphill, the hike never feels tedious thanks to the spectacular scenery along the way.

Several observation decks offer breathtaking views, making it easy to stop, rest,
and get an early taste of the charming scenery unique to Busan’s hillside roads.

Before reaching Cheonmasan Observatory, you'll also pass through the Cheonmasan Sculpture Garden, where unique sculptures and artistic installations are nestled throughout the lush forest.

As you admire the artwork, you'll soon arrive at your final destination—Cheonmasan Observatory.

- Highlights: Second-Floor Observatory, Cheonmasan Eco Experience Center, and the 32-Meter Glass Skywalk

In my opinion, the observatory's second floor is the highlight of the visit. At the entrance, you'll be greeted by Cheonmani, the official mascot of Busan's Seo-gu District. Visitors will also be able to ride a monorail once construction is complete.

Just to the right of Cheonmani is the Cheonmasan Eco Experience Center. Here, you can learn about the diverse wildlife and plant species that inhabit Cheonmasan Mountain. Simply scan the QR codes throughout the exhibition to listen to audio commentary while you explore.

Rather than relying solely on informational displays, the center features immersive media art, interactive exhibits, touchscreen displays, and digital content, making it an especially engaging experience for children. The exhibits also bring the history of Cheonmasan Mountain and its forest ecosystem to life through immersive visualizations, offering adults an enjoyable and educational experience as they explore.

After touring the exhibition, exit through the doors to discover the 32-meter-long glass skywalk. Extending over Cheonmabawi Rock at an elevation of 260 meters, the skywalk features a transparent glass floor that lets you look straight down to Busan Port, with the open sea stretching into the distance.

Take in the exhilarating sensation as you walk across the skywalk while enjoying panoramic views that extend to the horizon. It's an unforgettable photo opportunity and an experience unlike any other in Busan.

- Rooftop Observatory (Cheonma Lovers Statue)

The rooftop is the final stop of your visit. Here stands the impressive Cheonma Lovers Statue, a unique sculpture that resembles a flying horse ("Cheonma") when viewed from the side, but transforms into the silhouette of a pair of lovers when viewed from the front. The sculpture has become a symbolic landmark of the area. From the spacious rooftop, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the sea, including Yeongdo Island, Namhangdaegyo Bridge, and Busanhangdaegyo Bridge.
